One of the projects completed by the 5th grade of our school (Experimental Primary School of Florina) this school year was the musical instruments from used materials. Students collected used materials such as paper and plastic bottles, rubber bands, disposable plates, boxes of clothes and shoes as well as other items intended for garbage, and constructed various musical instruments.
They also made 5 electric guitars with plain model paper, utilizing the Makey Makey development platform and the Scratch software. Students used double pins, DuPont cables, and silicone glue to create circuits that activated specific tones they had programmed in Scratch.
Upon completion of their projects, they presented their creations to the other students and teachers of the school, as well as visiting parents in an all-day exhibition that took place on Thursday 9/6/2022.
